Schmobin
The engineering behind Schmobin’s quiz shows.
Schmobin creates and hosts the shows. We handle the software engineering and DevOps behind them, from game and audience applications to broadcast integrations and production infrastructure.
The landing page introduces the shows. Our wider work includes the games, presenter tools, voting services, and broadcast systems.

Contestants, broadcast hosts, and online audiences
One show, several perspectives.
Schmobin creates and hosts the quiz shows. DevPair handles the software engineering and DevOps supporting his formats: game applications, host controls, audience participation, broadcast integrations, backend services, and production infrastructure. Our responsibility extends from developing the software to deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and live operations.
Keep contestants, the host, and the audience in the same moment—even when a live round gets busy.
What we built.
- Develop the software supporting Schmobin’s quiz-show formats, including game applications, host controls, audience tools, and broadcast integrations.
- Authoritative game state and transactional arbitration for competing buzzer actions.
- Real-time updates and overlays connecting the game to the broadcast.
- Linux service operations, monitoring, and recovery tooling for the application family.
One show, three perspectives.
Contestants need clear game actions. The host needs control of the round. The audience needs a way to take part. Our work connects those experiences to the same live game.
The thinking behind it.
Authoritative game state and transactional buzzer arbitration keep competing actions coordinated. Persistent connections carry updates to each participant.
Live rounds need one accepted game state when player actions compete. Server-side coordination provides that shared outcome; it also makes service operation part of the product. Our responsibility therefore includes the running services and broadcast integrations, not just the player interface.
A shared live experience, from the first buzzer to the final result.
